An ANNOUNCEMENT to make!!!!!!!!!
just had my interview today... april 24, 2008 at the USEM and guess what!!!!??? we got approved!!!! isnt that great!!!!???? the most awaited time my husband and i have waited for the very longest time!!! and sooooooooooooon we will be together again!!!!!!
thanks to Almighty God for all the help and guidance and to all of you who have prayed for us!!!!!!! thank you sooooooooooo much....
this is the beginning of our life to be "physically together!"

TAXI DRIVERS IN MANILA - BEWARE!

I have to post this! I really have to, there must be a place I can vent this out!!!! ok, i have to admit, I DONT LIKE TAXI DRIVERS IN MANILA!!!! i have been living in Manila for 17 years now and i must say, only a handful (maybe, not even!) of the taxi drivers in Manila who can be called considerate and just doing their jobs! and the rest are... its sad to say this against my kababayans, but its the truth!!! most of them are...
dishonest - meter is as fast as lightening!
corrupt - they wont flag down their meter as what they're supposed to!
ripper - they will rip you off as much as they can!
bad navigational LONG ROAD tactics - they will roam you around Manila to increase the meter, and stretch it as high and far as they can!
they have DEMENTIA - they tend to forget that you are waiting for your change!
dont know how to do MATH when it comes to calculating your change
the fare becomes extremely high for people of different race! most especially to WHITES
choosy - they wont take you to place you need to go if your destination is far, not unless you give extra pesoses as a surcharge!
theres a lot more! but these are the usual happenings... this has
to stop! i hope the LTO or DOTC can do something about this! why can BAGUIO city Taxi drivers be so different from Manila Taxi Drivers? if Baguio Drivers can be as disciplined and honest and just doing their job right, why cant Manila Drivers do the same??????

Century Park Hotel - Lobby Pics

thats the name of the very elegant, relaxing yet pricy lounge in
Century Park Hotel Manila...
it was the last day of our stay when we decided to
take advantage of the free complimentary drinks
the hotel have given us upon checking in...
the waitress said that we can avail of the house beers, juices or colas for free...
hmmm... knowing this, we asked the lady the menu...
we werent really impressed with the house
beers at first when we heard her say it... but surprisingly,
they have good selections of beers,
not just local beers for a change, but they got CooRs too..
my husband was delighted to see some familiar names in the list,
at least the free drinks arent that bad at all....
we ended up using the 2 complimentary stubs for COoRs
and we ordered an extra glass of Martini...
and that was our last night exploring the hotel...
got to get ready for an early flight the next day...
so sad.. but we have to part ways one last time...

they have this lap pool, a jacuzzi, and an oval shaped huge pool...
whatever you are in the mood for,
when talking about taking a dip! they have it...
sucks we havent got the chance to go down there
and check out the place 'til the afternoon we
have to check out the next morning...

Post Holidays Celebration...
Not being able to spend thanksgiving, christmas, new years and Valentines Day with my husband, we made this short trip the "making up" trip for all the missed holidays of not being together...we ate a lot to celebrate thanksgiving, we had a Santa Hat and gifts way overdue for christmas celebration, we got wine to celebrate the new years, we've got cakes to celebrate for birthdays..... and this day is one HUGE making up with the V-DAY!!! and Vday means.... sweets candies roses and tons of red things.... sucks forgot to take pictures of the funny musical flower with mozart playing (hahahaha ("p) and the gorilla stuff toy with boxing gloves on it (i call him pacqiuao), and the dove rose chocolate...
How was your Valentines Day? i must say... it's always better late than never... when you're far apart from your love-one, you dont have a choice but be creative on how to spend special days even apart, like the best special day being physically together...
